Natural Bridges National Monument Activities

Natural Bridges paved one way nine-mile loop provides access to all the bridges which can be seen from the road. The three bridges are called Sipapu, Kachina and Owachomo.

  • Sipapu Bridge is the largest of the three bridges and is the second largest in the world. It's name comes from the Hopi meaning "opening between worlds".
  • Kachina Bridge received its name from a Government surveyor who found petroglyphs and pictographs of dancing figures on the base of the bridge.
  • Owachomo Bridge is the smallest of the three. The name means "rock mound" by the Hopi.
